The Center for Language Studies, along with the Department of Instructional Psychology and Technology and the Center for Teaching at Learning, have sponsored several conferences focused on issues related to online instruction and standards. The first ID2SCORM symposium was held at BYU in March 2002, and was repeated in March 2003. After five years' break, BYU held the ID+SCORM conference in February 2008.
The purpose of these conferences was to address issues related to the merging of instructional design with standards for delivery of instructional content. With the next generation of SCORM in development, we look forward to hosting another such conference over the next few years.
